Just finished "Session 9" again. Such a great movie. It really sticks with me. Dr. G said it was the only movie to ever give him nightmares. Considering his proclivity to watch all things creepy, I think that's really special.

The last line is particularly haunting.

Anyway, it's a great film. Check it out.

I'm not sure if it's actually my favorite time of year.  It's pretty drab in a lot of ways, but Zitner's Eggs (Butter Krak) are back, and that makes me happy.  This is the best thing ever:  Dark chocolate, butter cream, and coconut FTW.

I just read Marilyn M. Cooper's essay "The Ecology of Writing" again.  When I read it in my Theories of Composition course, I didn't really get it, but now I do.  

This is where I'd like to live.

Basically, it would be perfect for my size.  :D

I rediscovered my interest in the literacy narrative the other day, (which manifested itself in Chapter 12 of Stop-Loss and will show up again, briefly, in chapter 14).  Anyway, they're really neat to read and write.  I participated in the Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives project two springs ago (maybe three springs--one of my semesters at ( Read more... )
